“So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:  shepherd the flock of God that is among you”

What does it look like to be a faithful shepherd of God’s people? What is the place of pastoral care in the task of shepherding God’s people?

Gospel-ministers are called to be under-shepherds of the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. As the good shepherd, Christ willingly laid down his life for his sheep, that he might lead them through the shadow of death to eternity in his presence. As his under shepherds, we are called to feed God’s sheep with his word, and love them sacrificially, that they might safely arrive at their heavenly destination.

Come join us to take a closer look at Pastoral care for today, and consider together in the light of God’s word, how we might faithful shepherds of those God has given us to lead.
